The Global Service Team (GST) is the heart of our mission — helping Lions deliver meaningful, measurable service that changes lives and strengthens communities.
In New Zealand and the Pacific, we are proud of the legacy we continue to build through hands-on volunteering, innovative projects, and community leadership.
Our Mission: Service with Impact
The GST supports clubs and districts to:
- Plan and deliver high-impact service projects
- Align service with global and local needs
- Report outcomes to tell our story effectively
- Engage members through purposeful service
- Partner with other organisations to increase reach
Focus Areas of Service
Lions Clubs around the world serve through five global causes:
- Vision – Prevent avoidable blindness and improve eye health
- Hunger – Ensure all have access to nutritious food
- Environment – Protect and restore our natural world
- Diabetes – Raise awareness and support healthy living
- Childhood Cancer – Support children and families in need
Clubs are also encouraged to serve in ways that meet local needs — because the best service is what matters most to your community.
Mission 10K: More Members, More Service
As we work toward 10,000 members by July 2027, we’re also increasing the scope and scale of our service. More members mean more hands to help, more voices for advocacy, and more lives changed.
