About Lions New Zealand

Ordinary People. Extraordinary Impact.

Lions New Zealand is part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service organisation — with 1.4 million members in over 200 countries. In New Zealand and the Pacific (Multiple District 202), our clubs have been proudly serving communities since 1955.

From Kaikohe to Invercargill, from city centres to rural towns, Lions are making a difference — every day.

We’re volunteers, neighbours, leaders, and problem-solvers. Across Aotearoa, our members come from all walks of life but are united by one simple belief:
“Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion.”

With over 300 clubs and thousands of members across the country, we serve through:
  • Hands-on projects that improve lives
  • Fundraising for local and global causes
  • Emergency response during times of crisis
  • Supporting youth, families, and the environment
