Camp Quality

Bringing fun, hope and happiness to children living with cancer
Camp Quality is dedicated to enriching the lives of children aged 5 to 16 who are living with cancer. Through high-quality recreational programmes, we provide opportunities for fun, friendship, and personal growth — helping children and their families focus on the positive, even in the face of challenges.

We believe in the power of fun to inspire resilience. Each year, around 300 children take part in week-long residential camps across five regions of New Zealand:
  • Auckland / Northland
  • Waikato / Bay of Plenty
  • Wellington / Central Districts
  • Christchurch
  • South
At every camp, children are supported one-on-one by trained Companions and a dedicated volunteer team, with paediatric oncology staff on site to ensure safety and care. Alongside camps, we also run Family Days, Reunion Days, Mini-camps and social outings to strengthen connections year-round.

Since our first camp in West Auckland in 1985, Camp Quality has grown into a nationwide charitable trust. We are entirely volunteer-driven — no one is paid, and thousands of hours each year go into fundraising, planning and delivering these life-changing experiences.

Camp Quality NZ welcomes families with a child living with cancer, and in some cases, siblings are also able to join. Our goal is simple: to bring fun, hope and happiness, creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
