Lions International Peace Poster Contest

For almost 40 years, the Lions International Peace Poster Contest has encouraged children aged 11 to 13 to express their vision of peace through art. Each year, Lions clubs across New Zealand, and around the world, work with schools and youth groups to give young people the chance to take part.

Entries are first celebrated locally, with winners moving on for international recognition. One talented young artist will be awarded the grand prize of US $5,000 and the honour of sharing their message of peace with the world.
How to Sponsor a Peace Poster Contest

Interested in sponsoring a Peace Poster Contest in your community? Getting started is simple — just follow these steps:

1. Build your team
Running a contest is a team effort. Begin by gathering club members who are keen to help plan and coordinate. Reach out to your district Peace Poster Chairperson for guidance and resources. Together, you’ll identify local schools and youth groups to invite and promote the contest.
2. Connect with schools and youth groups
The contest can be hosted through schools or organised youth groups. Work with your team to approach these organisations and share your interest in sponsoring a contest with them.

3. Order your kit
Remember, you’ll need to purchase one official Peace Poster Contest kit for each contest you sponsor.
