Central North Island

Welcome to Lions District 202L!

District 202L stretches from the world-famous surf of Mount Maunganui in the east to Raglan’s renowned waves in the west. Between these coasts lie the rich farmlands of the Waikato, King Country, and Bay of Plenty – producing dairy, kiwifruit, avocados, and plantation forestry. With New Zealand’s largest port, three fast-growing cities, and a wealth of tourism opportunities, our Lions clubs have endless ways to fundraise and serve their communities.

Our 58 clubs work together to support individuals with special abilities and needs, as well as projects that improve community life. Most clubs are mixed gender, but we also have all-male and all-female clubs, along with 14 Leo Clubs – many based in secondary schools – providing young people with leadership experience and the chance to contribute locally and globally.

We believe in adapting to meet the changing needs of our communities. Whether in a rural township, a bustling city, or a coastal community, each club finds its own way to bring help and hope.

If you have a heart for service and want to make a difference, we invite you to join us. Together, WE SERVE.
